Two men killed in crashes on region's roads

A MAN was killed after a car crash on the A46 by by pass near Kenilworth.

A black VW Polo left the northbound carriageway and went down an embankment, collided with trees and overturned around 8.45pm on Saturday. No other vehicle was involved.

Medics were quickly on the scene but it quickly became apparent that there was nothing that could be done to save the man, in his late teens, and he was confirmed dead at the scene.

Next of kin have been informed and  would like to hear from anyone who witnessed it or saw the vehicle, and the manner in which it was being driven, before the crash.

Another man also lost his life in a motorcycle crash near Birmingham Airport.


It happened on the A45 Coventry Road at 12.15pm on Sunday afternoon.

Emergency services recieved a number of 999 calls reporting a motorcyclist crashing and suffering serious injuries.

Medics again could sadly do nothing to save the young man’s life and he was also confirmed dead at the scene.
