Vegan treats aplenty when fair comes to town

Stratford Editorial 20th Jan, 2020   0

PLANT-based treats will be on offer when the Stratford Vegan Fair comes to town.

The free event, hosted by Midlands Vegan Campaigns, will be held at the town hall on Sunday (January 26) from 10.30am to 4pm.

Visitors can browse over 20 stalls showcasing a range of products from skin care, perfume and makeup to clothes, jewellery, and of course, a vast array of food.

There will also be free samples, recipes and nutritional guidance on offer.

Organiser Kevin White said: “Veganism is snowballing at a very fast rate in the UK. For many, vegan events are the best starting point if you’re vegan curious, an aspiring vegan or already enjoying the benefits of the lifestyle. Every town needs a vegan fair, including Stratford! “And what better time for it to take place than Veganuary, a month dedicated to inspiring & supporting people to trial veganism.

“Come and sample all the wonderful, healthy, compassionate and planet-friendly pleasures that veganism has to offer and discover why a transition to plant-based lifestyles is so important for all our futures.

“Tickle your tastebuds with the latest gourmet vegan cheeses, indulgent creamy chocolates, scrumptious pizza, tantalising curries, heavenly cakes and everything in between. It’s like all the food you’ve ever enjoyed but with the unhealthy bits taken out and on many stalls you can try before you buy.”
