VETERAN broadcasters Sir Trevor McDonald and John Humphreys will be looking back on their long careers at Stratford Literary Festival.
The three-day event, from November 1 to 3, will also feature historian and former Daily Telegraph editor Sir Max Hastings talking about his new book on the Dambuster raids, BBC’s Carrie Gracie tackling the equal pay debate, and comedian Jenny Eclair talking about her transition to novelist.
And family-friendly fun will include comedian Ben Miller meeting Father Christmas, a celebration of 50 years of The Very Hungry Caterpillar with the chance to help build a giant replica, and an exploration of the naughty vocabulary of Roald Dahl.
Festival director Annie Ashworth said: “Our Winter Weekend is crammed this year with loads to see and do and will hopefully provide a diversion after the will we/won’t we Brexit deadline of October 31.”
