Maisie Jeynes 29th Jul, 2017

AN ASPIRING wordsmith from Stratford has penned success.

Vil Borodi, a pupil at Stratford School, was named regional winner of the National Young Writers’ Awards 2017 after impressing judges with his entry ‘3017’, exploring what has changed in the world a thousand years from now.

The 12 year-old entered the competition which was organised by tuition provider Explore Learning, on his own time.

Neil Wallace, headteacher at Stratford School said: “We are delighted that Vil has been acknowledged as the regional winner of the National Young Writers Awards.

“It is great having students in the school that go above and beyond, as Vil has done, in their pursuit of academic excellence.”
