ALICE REED took time off from Nottingham University to compete in the Midland Five-mile Cross Country Championships and she secured an impressive ninth placed finish.
The course was over an undulating parkland and consisted of one small lap and two large laps, with a ditch crossing on each lap.
There were 100 runners who started the race and Alice kept up a steady pace and was delighted to finish in the top ten in a time of 33.24.
The Potter twins from Charnwood were the first two finishers as Jane was followed by Juliet.
