ATHLETICS - Stratford AC impress at home event in Midland Women's Cross Country League

STRATFORD AC’s Ladies team runner Georgie Campbell secured an impressive 11th place finish at the club’s home event in the second race of the Midland Women’s Cross Country League.

 

The club had no fewer than 25 runners taking part at the Welcombe Hills course and Campbell was first home for Stratford in 26 minutes 7 seconds to secure 11th place overall.

 




Both Kate Wright (28mins 3secs) and Cadie Hibberd (28mins 34secs) finished in the top 50 as they placed 32nd and 43rd respectively in a field of 197 runners.

 


The next group of Stratford runners home were Emma Bexson (29mins 20secs), Justine Lynch (29mins 40secs), Jess Sheppard (29mins 58secs) and Emmy Orton (30mins 1sec).

 

Vicky Sharpe (31mins 2secs) and Hannah Osborne (31mins 19secs) both shaved several minutes off their times since last racing the same course.

 

And Imy Sheppard (31mins 26secs), Fern Hordern (32mins 11secs), Suzi Ross (32mins 30secs), Sarah Boundy (32mins 33secs), Sophie Dobedoe (33mins 21secs) and Emma Parkin (34mins 9secs) all completed the course in under 35 minutes.

 

Kim Lee (35mins 35secs), Julia Brookes (35mins 58secs), Sarah Dichard (36mins 0secs), Philippa Paddock (36mins 5secs), Susan Hunt (36mins 28secs), Pip Bell (39mins 2secs), Lara Bakewell (40mins 1sec), Emma Lee (43mins 0secs), Emily Adams (43mins 10secs) and Lisa Stevens (43mins 28secs) all finished to complete the 25 strong team.
