STRATFORD SCHOOL’s under-13 Girls team secured another victory in the English Schools Championship last week.
The team has progressed to the last 16 and will face Parkstone Grammar School from Dorset on Thursday, February 3.
That came after an impressive 4-1 win against Brunel Academy from Bristol in the last 32 as Stratford coasted to victory.
Coach Paul Turrell, who has led two teams to the championship final including one winner, said: “The team are improving game by game, they had an excellent first half in this match and pulled out an early lead.
“We are looking forward to the next round and another home fixture.”
The team played excellently and consisted of: Seren Welsh, Skye Holtom, Chloe Jones, Marley Wright, Clara Zaffinani, Amaya Atkins, Dita Nicholls, Ella Taylor Noble, Scarlett Burkitt, Ellie Shirley, Matilda Berwick, and Millie Clark with Ella Taylor-Noble named as Player of the Match.
