Louie bags Quadkids silver at County Championships

LOUIE NEWTON won a silver medal as 13 of Stratford Athletic Club’s new generation competed in a multi-event Quadkids competition comprising the 75m, 600m, howler throw and long jump at the Warwickshire County Championships.

They showed the future is in good hands as all of them competed in this type and level of competition for the first time.

Three Stratford boys finished in the top ten including Newton who took silver with 225 points. Willoughby Tovey-Gullachsen finished fifth (210 points) and Elfric McKenzie finished in seventh position (207).

In the girls’ competition, Tessa Parkin (fourth, 195 points), Annie Silvers (sixth, 185) and Ella Taylor-Noble (seventh, 181) all finished in the top ten, while one of the youngest competitors – Annabel Wynne-Edwards – finished in 14th place with 128 points.




The other Stratford competitors were Joshua Davies (13th, 183), Maxime Verstraeten (15th, 178), Alex Wood (17th, 174), Omarian Gordon (18th, 172), Samuel Plumb (24th, 146) and Ewan Sparrow (26th, 136).
