AFTER winning the Squash School Challenge Shield some 17 years ago, King Edward VI School have won it again.
Dave Petty, squash coach and tournament organiser at Stratford Squash Club, said: “I thought it was about time we resurrected the School Challenge Shield competition, which was first held back in 1999.
“Four schools took part in the tournament – Alcester Grammar, Kenilworth, Warwick and KES – with all schools playing each other at Stratford Squash Club during the last term.
“The object was to get schools playing more squash and enjoying what is a fantastic sport.”
The tournament will now be held every year and is open to all schools of any standard.
If there are schools who would like to enter a team this year or would like to arrange school coaching, they should contact Dave Petty on 07971 162479 or email [email protected].
