STRATFORD-UPON-AVON Riding Club duo Tracey Johnson and Jo Harris took part in British Riding Club’s Area 5 showjumping competition at Solihull Riding Club.
Despite the rotten weather conditions, Johnson and her pony Dora were the first competitors into the outdoor arena for the 70cm competition.
Unfortunately they had a pole down, gaining them four faults.
Thankfully their second round took place in the dry indoor arena where unfortunately again they had a pole down resulting in four faults.
Harris and her horse Millie competed in the 90 cm class and had a pole down in the outdoor arena resulting in four faults. After a two-hour wait for their second round indoors, unfortunately Millie had had enough and they had more faults.
Even though their results were not brilliant, the spirits of both riders, and their support team of Rita Kubiak and Isobel Wain, were not dampened at all. The support provided by the riding club has enabled the riders to have confidence to give competition a go no matter the results.
The Stratford club is organising a dressage music roadshow on September 22 at Bearley Village Hall, Snitterfield Road, Bearley.
The event will start at 7.30pm and is open to anyone interested in Dressage to Music. For more details, contact Jane Nicholas via email at email@example.com
