STRIKER Edwin Ahenkorah is awaiting a verdict from medics after his troublesome knee injury put a halt to his season.
Ahenkorah had only returned to action for two weeks after a six-game lay-off before he limped out of Saturday’s Southern Premier game at home to Royston after 59 minutes.
The former Redditch goalgetter had missed the second part of last season with an injury to the same knee and Town manager Carl Adams says the problem needs to be identified and remedied once and for all, even if that means surgery.
“Edwin has been to see a specialist and we are waiting to hear what the diagnosis is,” said Adams.
“Then we will be able to decide what happens next.
“Edwin had the problem last year and then it happened again and he was out for six games. Now it’s gone again.”
