STRATFORD-upon-Avon Boat Club have announced sponsorship of the 2022 Regatta by local Warwickshire company Stratford Self Store.
This year’s regatta will be held on Saturday, June 18 after a two-year absence when smaller regattas were run in September because of Covid restrictions.
Stratford Self Store is Warwickshire’s leading storage company based in Long Marston, close to Stratford-upon-Avon and has over 15 years of experience in commercial and domestic storage.
Paul Hazelwood, Stratford upon Avon Boat Club’s Treasurer, said: “As a local community club, we rely on the support and help of local Warwickshire companies to sponsor our regatta to make it financially viable and not a drain on our resources.
“There are so many oncosts to staging a regatta and Stratford Self Store’s sponsorship helps us to cover most of these costs.”
Stratford Self Store’s location allows the company to provide storage facilities to people living in and near to Alcester and Stratford-upon-Avon and throughout Warwickshire.

Specified units are available to be accessed 24 hours of the day, 365 days of the year. The regatta will be held on Saturday, June 18 with racing to begin at 8am from the weir to the club grounds on the Town Stretch of the Avon with viewing from the club grounds, the Recreation Ground, Bancroft Gardens: there are also a tea tent, catering wagon and bar in the Club grounds.
