NUMEROUS local Do3 triathletes are gearing up for a landmark 2018, including Eloise du Luart in her first full year competing as a professional and others with confirmed places in national age group teams.

Qualified to compete at age group level for Great Britain are: Corinne Moss (Gold Coast ITU Standard Distance Triathlon World Championships); Kate O’Neill (Ibiza ETU Middle Distance Triathlon European Championships); Tim Tandy (Madrid ETU Long Distance Triathlon European Championships); Toni Senior (Ibiza ETU Middle Distance Triathlon European Championships and Tartu ETU Standard Distance Triathlon European Championships); Stephanie Cox (Ibiza ETU Aquathlon European Championships); Louy Bea (ITU Fyn Long Distance Triathlon World Championships and Madrid ETU Long Distance Triathlon European Championships).

Do3’s Seanin McPherson will represent Ireland at age group level and will compete in the ETU Powerman Middle Distance Duathlon European Championships, ETU Standard Distance Duathlon European Championships and at ETU Middle Distance Triathlon European Championships.

Mel Knight will represent her home nation, France, by competing at Glasgow ETU Sprint Distance Triathlon European Championships, Tartu ETU Standard Distance Triathlon European Championships and Ibiza ETU Middle Distance Triathlon European Championships.

Do3 head coach Dave Knight, recently named Coach of the Year at the Stratford District Sports Awards and shortlisted for Coach of the Year in 2017’s 220 Triathlon Awards, said: “I am delighted for everyone who will be representing their home nation as an age group competitor.

“These athletes have trained hard and tirelessly and are now reaping the rewards. Each individual has their own objective, however, they all share the same drive, determination and commitment – Do3 doggedness.

“It’s already been quite a start to 2018 after Corinne (Moss) was named as the regional Sports Person of the Year and it looks set to be a landmark year for Do3.”
